Brush Pumper / Tender 406

Sumner County Fire District #12 approved the purchase of a new Brush Pumper / Tender for Mulvane Fire Rescue in June 2017.  This new truck replaced our old Tender 406 which was a Kansas Forestry 6x6.  This new truck was build by Hays Fire & Rescue Equipment in Hays, KS at a total cost of $225,000 and was delivered 2 months ahead of schedule in February, 2018.

 

Cab & Chassis was ordered from Summit Truck Group in Salina, KS. at a cost of $125,000.  Truck has factory equipped Michelin XZL 44" super single tires.

BP / Tender 406 carries 2,000 gallons of water with 20 gallons of Class A foam.  Triple electric Newton dump valves on both sides and the rear of the truck.  Rear backup camera monitors the rear dump valve, all controls are in the drivers console.  Hydraulic dump tank holder on passenger side.

 

Ladder provides access to the overhead storage on top of the water tank. Top compartment designed to carry loose equipment such as chainsaw & airpacks.  Bottom compartment is designed for rolled hose storage.  All compartments equipped with LED strip lighting. Three pre-connected hose trays for 1" forestry line, 1 3/4" attack line & 3" re-supply line.  Pump is a Hale HPX275-B35, 35 HP, 150 gpm @ 100 psi.

 

Front bumper area contains electric winch, TRT remote monitor nozzle, L & R side spray nozzles, emergency lights & siren speakers.
