Engine 408 Pictures

Engine 408, 1962 Seagrave 1,000 GPM with a 500 gallon booster tank.  This is retired City of Wichita Engine, purchased from Martin Fire Equipment December 15th, 1988 for $13,000.

Truck was refurbished in 1986.  Mulvane purchased this truck in 1988 and the pump was rebuilt in 1999.  This unit was removed from active service on March 1st, 2006. 

   

The truck model # is 800KB and the serial # is N-670.  The original gas engine was replaced with a Detroit Diesel 8V71N.  The pump is a two-stage Seagrave 1000 GPM.  Fully loaded with equipment and water this truck weighs around 26,000 lbs.

 

 

This truck was sold on E-Bay in March of 2006 for $6,569.00
